IMO, his mods (see my MOD soup below) is what turns SH5 into a sim. Installing those adds, among other: optional SH3 interface, Gramophone/radio, Captains log where you can add your own entries, real navigation and an AI that will actually try to hurt you. TheDarkWraith (over at subsim) has made some crucial mods, dealing with bugs, interface and the AI. At least the mod community has addressed this issue from time to time, and it seems to me both the interest and will to fix this is there. A shame for sure, but I believe more boats will be added in the future. Flakmonkey just released his Interiors 2.0 which now includes the forward torpedo room of the Type VII and with added character models (he is working on the aft torpedo room). SH III with GWX 3 + SH3 Commander is still the best sub experience out there with the installed mods below. then got it back out and tried it and shelved it again. Anyway, I have had SH V for a long time and because of the DRM I shelved it. I jump around way too much and this tends to lead to unfinished campaigns and games. As some of you may know, I am a ADD wargamer.
